Constable Wansink came in to our class and taught us about cyber safety and cyber bullying. On the internet there are heaps of ways to get TRICKED. That is why you have to be careful when you are on the computer. So don't give strangers details about yourself and a photo of you.
This is room 5 making our class waka, putting on the paddles, fish, stars and people but we couldn't get the right dye colour for the sky so having stars didn't make any sense.

All day today we were making our class waka. This photo here was when some people from our class made the sea and sky. I  made some of the people. I drew the biggest person. We had so much fun.

Room 5's assembly, Tuesday 14th February

It was an awesome assembly, looking at the audience. We did really well, when my group said "together everyone achieves more" we were kinda out of time but it was still awesome, but I still think we did really well. When I looked at the audience I wasn't really nervous but after 5 minutes the audience started coming in both ways and then thats when my heart started to beat like a automatic machine gun.

Our assembly was about kia kaha (standing up for your self). We talked about our qualities , why we need roles even though you don't want to.

It's Room 5's assembly presentation tomorrow. Kia Kaha is our theme. We've talked about the importance of preparing well for these situations so that the "show" goes well. R5 have been talking about the importance of taking on responsibilities, especially now that they are in Y6.

Tomorrow is the BIG day for our students who aspire to be House leaders. Speeches will be spoken, promises made and votes cast after assembly. There will be many anxious contenders for the few positions available. Good luck to everybody brave enough to put themselves up for election.
